Laminex Timber Veneer
Laminex Timber Veneer is available in Natural or Reconstituted panels. Made from thin sheets of real timber pressed onto MDF board, it offers the authentic warmth of natural wood for premium cabinetry and wall linings. Natural Veneer - part of it's charm is the natural variation means no two panels are identical. Reconstituted Veneer - sheets of veneer laminated together, dyed and cut provides a more consistent colour and grain look.
Unlike Melteca, the veneer is supplied raw and needs to be sanded and coated. We recommend a coating system that is non-yellowing and includes a UV inhibitor to make the product non-porous. To achieve the best result, engage a joiner or cabinetmaker experienced in working with veneer and solid timber.
- Natural timber look with authentic grain and warmth - every project is unique
- Stained or polished after fabrication - work with your joiner for the final colour
- Adds premium appeal
Cabinetry Considerations
Rail profiles on cabinetry doors and drawers
Rail-style doors are a popular choice, and now they don’t have to be restricted to expensive materials. Joiners and cabinet makers can create stunning rail-style cabinetry using Melteca, achieving a timeless shaker-inspired look at an affordable price.
Edgetape
Melteca, Acrylic Panels, and Timber Veneer all need to be edge banded by your joiner to cover the raw edge of the underlying panel. Talk to your joiner about using 1mm edgetape for a sleek look.
