From boiling temperatures to freezing, Laminam® porcelain slabs are resistant despite their slim thickness. It is its very identity that makes the difference: porcelain has the technical capability to withstand contact with both extremely high and extremely low temperatures.

Laminam porcelain slabs are anti-absorbent: they have a remarkably low level of porosity, especially when compared with other materials. What’s more, Laminam finishes can be easily cleaned with common household cleaners as they are highly resistant to chemical agents, and as such do not require any special products.

Laminam’s reduced porosity means the slabs do not absorb water as happens with wood or natural stone making Laminam benchtops frost resistant and suitable for outdoor use. As Laminam does not contain organic pigments, the colours remain stable over time.

For total peace of mind Laminex® New Zealand provides a 15 year limited warranty for Laminam when used in interior and exterior applications and if installed by an approved installer.

With a crystalline silica content of between 15 and 20%, Laminam materials have some of the lowest risk levels found on construction materials, including materials of natural origin.
